What is the difference between therapy and coaching?Because I offer both therapy and coaching, it’s important to understand the difference—so you can find the path that best supports you. My approach is rooted in compassion, embodiment, and deep presence across both offerings. But each one serves a unique purpose, and each has its own boundaries. Therapy Therapy is a clinical service available to clients residing in Rhode Island. It’s focused on emotional healing, trauma resolution, and mental health support. In therapy, we may work with: • Somatic and nervous system regulation • EMDR • Attachment and inner child work • Anxiety, grief, depression, or trauma symptoms • Expressive and creative arts for integration and emotional processing • Mother wound healing • Early life conditioning and developmental wounding Therapy may include diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with other healthcare providers when appropriate. If you're looking for therapeutic healing and reside in Rhode Island, therapy may be the right path for you. Coaching Coaching is available to clients inside/outside of Rhode Island, including across the U.S. and internationally. Coaching is best suited for women seeking personal growth, integration, and soul-aligned embodiment—not clinical support. In coaching, we may explore: • Somatic and intuitive practices • Expressive and creative arts for reflection, visioning, and self-expression • Values alignment + self-leadership • Reconnecting with creative energy, purpose, or pleasure • Inner mother work and nervous system awareness • Ritual, embodiment, and integration support for change Coaching does not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions. If you're craving a guided return to your authentic self—without the clinical lens—coaching may be a beautiful fit. In Both Spaces… You are held with compassion. You are supported in remembering your wholeness. You are honored as the expert of your own experience.

Do you see clients in person?Yes, I see therapy clients in person on Mondays and Fridays. My office is conveniently located at 63 Sockanosset Cross Road, Suite 3-C in Cranston, RI. I also offer virtual therapy and coaching sessions. This allows for greater flexibility and convenience, enabling you to attend sessions from the comfort of your own home. Therapy sessions are conducted via a secure and confidential video platform which can be accessed from a computer, tablet or smartphone. Coaching calls are completed via Zoom.
-
Is EMDR and somatic therapy effective virtually?Yes, absolutely! There are some wonderful tools to make EMDR accessible and effective virtually. I find that virtual sessions are just as meaningful and transformative as those in person. My clients have said that virtual sessions offer a sense of security when engaging in this type of work as they have access to the things that bring them comfort (their furniture, throw blankets, pets, and their familiar surroundings). Additionally, the screen provides a natural boundary that can make trying something new and different feel more accessible than doing so in a shared physical space.
-
Do you accept insurance?I do not work with insurance companies currently. RI now offers a two-tier licensing certification for Mental Health Counselors. I currently have my Associate License in Mental Health Counseling which does not allow me to issue you a Superbill for potential reimbursement. This means your investment in therapy will be an out-of-pocket expense. I anticipate this to change upon full licensure.
-
What forms of payment do you accept? You can pay for therapy sessions using debit and credit cards as well as FSA/HSA funds. Coaching sessions can be paid for with debit or credit cards only.
-
What is your cancellation policy? If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled less than 48 hours before appointment time will be charged the full session rate. I will gladly waive this one time for each client as I understand that life happens.
-
How often do I need to go to therapy?I suggest clients begin with weekly therapy until we establish a solid foundation.
-
What should I expect in therapy? You can expect warmth, compassion and a non-judgmental space to bring your whole self. I take an individualized approach to match your needs and goals. I cannot say exactly how a session will unfold but I can assure that you will feel supported and empowered through the process. During your initial session I will review my policies and procedures, gather information and answer your questions. From here we will become needs detectives together, bringing curiosity and an open mind to discover what supports and resources will help you find symptom relief and lasting change.
-
How much do you charge?Individual Therapy: $185 per 45-minute session Coaching Session: $185 EMDR Therapy/Couple’s Therapy: $250 for 60-minute session Open to sliding scale option if in need. Payment is due at the time of session.
-
What are my rights under no surprises act?The No Surprises Act ensures that you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services will cost. I will provide you with an estimate along with my practice policies upon confirmation of our first appointment.

What is Somatic Healing?Somatic healing is a body-centered approach to therapy and personal growth. It’s based on the understanding that your body holds not only stress and trauma—but also wisdom, memory, and the capacity to heal. Rather than only talking about what’s happening, we bring curiosity to what’s happening inside you—sensations, breath, posture, and movement. This creates space for regulation, release, and deeper reconnection with your nervous system. You don’t have to “figure it all out.” Your body already knows. We just learn how to listen.

What is Expressive & Creative Arts Therapy?Sometimes what we feel can’t be said in words. That’s where creativity steps in. Expressive arts therapy invites you to access and explore emotions, memories, and parts of yourself through nonverbal modalities—like drawing, painting, writing, movement, and voice. You don’t need to be “artistic” to benefit. The goal is expression, not outcome. In our work together, expressive arts might look like: Creating symbolic drawings to process inner parts Movement or dance to release stored emotion Journaling from the voice of your inner child or inner mother Making altars or using objects to represent transitions or stories It’s a way to access healing that lives beyond words. And often, it opens doors that talking alone cannot.

What is Mother Wound Healing? The mother wound refers to the emotional pain and unmet needs that arise from a lack of nurturing, safety, or attunement in the mother–child relationship. It’s not about blaming our mothers—it’s about acknowledging the impact of what was absent, misattuned, or harmful, and learning how to repair that within ourselves. Mother wound healing invites you to explore how early experiences may have shaped your beliefs about love, worthiness, boundaries, and belonging. This work reconnects you with the parts of you that had to perform, perfect, or disappear in order to feel safe—and gently offers them something new. It’s a return to the mother within. In our work together, mother wound healing might look like: Reparenting your inner child through somatic practices Learning to mother yourself with compassion, boundaries, and deep care Processing grief for what you didn’t receive—and honoring the wisdom that emerged Breaking cycles of perfectionism, self-abandonment, or over-functioning Reclaiming your voice, your needs, and your worth This is sacred work. It’s about no longer waiting to be chosen—because you’re choosing yourself.
